How Does the Advent Calendar Work?
The finished piece containing the main design and 24 squares is laced onto a large board which is sewn with a hanger and backed with baize. Prior to this small square of Velcro are attached in each of the squares. On a separate piece of Aida (enclosed), the 24 Christmas motif squares are stitched, then cut out and laced onto light card and backed with baize and Velcro. These then stick into the squares on the main board. A superb finish does take time, but you will be left with an heirloom which will last forever and be passed down from generation to generation!
